Samsung F15 5G One UI 7 0 Android 15 Update 2025: Full Review Of 55+ New Features & Improvements

Samsung entirely remodelled the look of their stock app icons. The new appearance is lively with bright colors and it can be easy to locate what I require. The interface has a feel of newness starting with the new palette and curved designs.

Different apps come with diverse visual changes as opposed to universal views based on a widget. Resizing widgets was also enhanced by Samsung and hence I am able to refine the allocated space to each widget displayed in my screen. Even some widgets auto-fit according to space they are given, stacking into a clean grid.

Widget Suggestions

At the On the top of the widget picker, I can see tips to assist me in locating widgets that are useful to my usage. Personalizing the home screen takes less time because effective ideas of widgets are displayed instantaneously.

Improved App Screen: Customizable and Easy to Use

The app screen which Samsung had used had always been useful, but with One UI 7.0, it focuses on its usability.

Search Bar Placement

I no longer see the search bar on the top of the screen but on the bottom. With a single hand, I would be able to tap my thumb around the search bar. Not fancy but quite convenient.

Alphabetical Sorting and Vertical App Drawer

New controls are contained in the three-dot menu at the top right side of the screen. I can now tap on sort:

All the apps should be in alphabetical order
Change the app drawer into vertical scroll
Navigate my apps just the same way I would in stock Android, and avoid a lot of side-to-side swiping

This makes finding apps quicker and more logical.

Dynamic App Icon Sizing

There’s now a slider to adjust app icon sizes:

When you decrease the size of the slider, everything becomes tighter, and the icons are smaller.
Sliding index up also makes the icons bigger to tap for an easier tap
I am able to make it fit my preference and my eyesight

Labels and Grid Layouts

I have choice on whether I want to put app names (as labels) under each icon and so does widget labels. Deactivation of the labels that are not needed results in a more appealing appearance.

The grid size of the home screen and application screen as well as the folder layout is easily customisable. Enlarging folder size allows me to access applications in the folder without opening it all the way since it has a new feature of enlarging.

Settings and Quick Panel: Tweaks for Simpler Access

If I want a faster access to the brightness and volume, I will drag the sliders to the top.
Increase the number of toggles (by default they are eight) by scrolling down and clicking on add

Lock Screen Nav Bar & Live Activities: Instant Controls

Samsung made a smart usage of nav bar that became available at the bottom of the lock screen.

When I listen to music, turn the timer on or using voice recorder, then the live icons are shown in the nav bar. Tapping an icon opens the corresponding tool—so I obtain music control, a running timer, or voices recording without going into the app or even unlocking the phone.

The same feature appears as a pill-shaped icon on the home screen:

Double tap to enlarge the running activity (e.g. music or timer)
Swipe left or right to change between real time activities
Attain the concerned app directly through the nav bar

This little change has made my phone feel responsive and smarter in daily situations.

Camera App Completely Redesigned

The camera gets its biggest overhaul yet.

UI Improvements

All main controls and options are now situated at the bottom of the screen and are very easy to access. All shooting modes and settings can be opened by clicking a four dots symbol.

Quick Access Controls

I can turn on the megapixels settings, timers, and other options directly on the bottom line; I do not need to go to the upper corners.

The specialty camera modes, divided into the “More” section also received a facelift. All the key options are in the forefront

Better Composition Guide

Battery Protection: I have now the ability to set upper charging limits exactly on 80 percent, 85 percent, 90 percent or even up to 95 percent. When this setting is reached, the charging process will be halted, which is perfect when individuals want to maintain a healthy battery in the long run.
Auto Dim Screen: Auto dim tab at 5 percent battery can also be disabled, this comes in useful when I am in dire need of the screen to remain bright even at low power levels.

They are useful apps, more so to users, who prefer their phones to serve more years not only as daily working tools but also as time-saving gadgets.

Edge Panel and Smart Select: Efficient Multitasking

Edge Panel got a boost by improving the built-in Smart Select feature.

Should You Update to One UI 7.0 on Samsung F15 5G?

In India, Samsung F15 5G is a model with which it is worth updating to version XSA. One UI 7.0 with Android 15 is not only about pressing security and polish but the actual redefinition of the way the device appears, feels, and responds.
